Please join us in congratulating Orton’s two newest CALTS: Trisha Friesema and Courtney Hale!
Becoming a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) is a significant accomplishment.
To qualify as a CALT, individuals must successfully complete 200 graduate-level instructional hours of Comprehensive Therapy-Level Training in a Multisensory Structured Language Program,
700 clinical/teaching practicum hours, and submit ten lessons for observations. The last step of the process, which Ms. Friesema and Ms. Hale recently completed, was to pass the National ALTA Competency Therapy Level Exam. Congratulations, ladies!!
This is a huge accomplishment.
