School Accountability Committee
Colorado statute requires all schools and districts to convene an Accountability Committee. The School Accountability Committee meets 4 times each year to provide recommendations to principals regarding budget, progress monitor implementation of the unified improvement plan (UIP), implementation of the parent engagement policy, committee recruitment, and engagement in READ plans, Individual Career and Academic Plans (ICAP), and plans to address truancy.
Orton Academy is seeking parents and community members to serve on this committee. We are required to have a minimum of 7 members: 1 administrator, 1 teacher, 3 parents, 1 member of parent organization, and 1 member of the community. Please consider serving the school in this capacity, and help Orton Academy become the best school possible.
