SQUASH the Competition – Pumpkin Carving Contest

Contest Guidelines & Important Dates

• The Mission: Decorate a pumpkin to look like a completely different object, animal, or character!
• No Carving, Please! To ensure everyone’s masterpiece lasts until the judging day, we strongly encourage students not to cut into or carve their pumpkins. Decoration should be done on the surface with paint, glue, markers, accessories, etc.
• Submission Deadline: The last day to bring in a decorated pumpkin is Thursday, October 30th.
• Display Location: All the amazing creations will be proudly displayed in front of the office for everyone to admire.

Judging & Prize

• Voting Day: On Friday, October 31st, students will get to vote for the “Coolest Pumpkin” in a student-only poll.
• The Prize: The student with the most votes will win a special prize on Halloween!

A Note on Pickup: All pumpkins must be taken home at the end of the school day on Friday, October 31st. Please make arrangements to have your student collect their artwork that day.

We can’t wait to see the incredible, “un-pumpkin-like” creations! This is a wonderful family project to get everyone in the festive spirit.
